A Little About Me
A small town Midwest girl. The perfect words to describe me, well, they were until I moved to Texas. I grew up on a farm in a rural part of northern Illinois. I spent my summers at my grandma's house with my cousins while most of our parents worked together at a family owned manufacturing company. The company was sold while I was in second grade. My mom and uncle started a sports performance training facility and I began splitting my time between being in the city, where the business was located, and on the farm. As much as I loved the city, I knew agriculture was in my blood.
Upon graduating high school, I decided to go to a small university that had a good agriculture program. Although my heart was set on moving south, I went north to University of Wisconsin - River Falls for my first semester. UWRF was not a good fit for me and I decided to transfer. In August of 2013, I moved away from home and everything I knew to start school in Stephenville, Texas at Tarleton State University. I chose to major in Agriculture Communications. At TSU my love for photography has developed.
After spending time in Texas, learning more and more about ranching and the western lifestyle, my passion for western culture has grown tremendously. I love everything about it. The fashion, the work, the people! I spend my free time with my horse, taking pictures, listening to music and spending time with friends and family. I could not be more blessed with the opportunities I have had since making my move.
My future plans include leading a ride on Mustangs from Mexico to Canada for a mission trip. This trip is the first step in reaching my dreams of changing peoples lives by introducing them to the love of Jesus Christ through the wonderful gifts of horses and nature. After the completion of the ride in late 2018, I plan to promote the film we are going to make from the ride, establish a Ministry with horses, and start a family.
